Boy scouts/girl scouts

You know you are a Mennonite when as a child you weren’t allowed to be a boy scout or girl scout because they are too similar to the military.

They are too much like the military but I bet you buy their cookies.

Oh wait, they cost money don’t they?  Maybe not.

  1. The word “uniform” today has more to do with the definition of sameness. Rich or poor, no matter your ethnicity or religion, you can identify a scout. The shirt gives you a canvas to identify where you are from and the rank/position you have earned.
